Otoko Tachi No Yamato 2005 (Japanese Movie) (english subtitles)
Makiko Uchida arrives in a southern Japanese port hoping to find a boat that will take her to the final resting place of the Battleship Yamato on the 60th anniversary of its sinking. She is rebuffed by all until she reveals to Katsumi Kamio that she is the daughter of Petty Officer Uchida. Kamio is surprised for he thought unlike himself, Uchida had been lost when the Yamato was besieged and sunk on April 7, 1945 by American aircraft which prevented its fulfilling a final suicide mission against the American fleet battling to capture Okinawa. Kamio and Uchida were part of a close set of comrades that proudly and bravely served on board this, the largest battleship ever constructed. He agrees to journey with Makiko with only the help of Atsushi, a 15 year old deckhand. As he pilots the way throughout the rough 15 hour journey Kamio reminiscences about life aboard the Yamato during the war and also about the sailor’s mothers and girlfriends left back home.

how do i extract it? doesn’t seem to work with winrar
I second that. I can’t extract it with WinRAR either. It seems to indicate that there’s a corrupt file somewhere. Could you email me back on this? Thanks!
You can extract if with winrar if you remove the Chinese characters from the title of the folder first. Winrar can’t read them.
As for the subs, there aren’t any with the file, and the one’s I downloaded are broken (for the Glamourous-encoded version; there is another) any suggestions

Shadow, that subtitle is for a different version (a “Proper”) that’s cut about two minutes out of sync with this one. SO we need to find matching subs, or a movie that matches the subs…

Hey, Shadow. if you download a program called time adjuster 3.1, you can fix the subtitle from subscene.
first join and save the two files. Then recut the subs into two files at the proper point (before the line that starts “Sumio,…”), saving both. Finally, adjust the start time of the second sub file by 15 seconds. There you go.
Just remember to save the file as an .SRT at each stage to ensure compatibility.
It seems to be frames per second that are out. The subs are 23.97 and the movie is 25. You can fix it if you use Time Adjuster, join them, convert fps and then split as above.
If somebody can fix this sub, can he please upload it somewhere as well ?

i split the subs using shinobi’s instructions and uploaded them to subscene.com at the link above. here it is again. http://subscene.com/66412/SubtitleFilm.aspx they are the subs listed as “1cd subs split for gl-otny 2cd avi release”.
they have a policy against uploading subs you didn’t translate yourself and all i did was split someone else’s in the right spot, so i unfortunately can’t make any guarantees about how long they’ll keep them hosted, but they’re there now.

Hello… Interesting all of these comments. I have a perfect copy of both the torrent and the files; In addition, … I have created my own torrent with significantly more data in the form of TRACKERS. The interesting part, is that I have been Seeding, and Seeding now for more than 2 weeks… My Original or Initial seeding was successful… but I have had ALMOST NOOOO upload requests… I thought at first, that there was NO demand for this torrent. Complete with:
1. subtitles that are actually synced,
2. Title is in all Latin-UNICODE-MIME (i.e. no problems with unzipping, or using Win-RAR or any other extractor.)
3. It is 100% complete… with no bugs, adware or any crap…
4. ??? don’t know what else…
EXCELLENT, EXCELLENT…. Oh, and I did the research… took me awhile, but I have the original Film Trailer in 1080p… can include if anyone needs; Movie Poster, Cast and Credits; Filmography….
